Merit-based scholarships for Indonesian students
High-achieving local students (Indonesian passport holders) are invited to apply for scholarships at YIS. This scholarship program is intended to support local students who demonstrate a desire to rise to the highest levels of academic achievement. The international education offered at YIS prepares students for higher education opportunities both within Indonesia and abroad.
In February each year, YIS opens applications for candidates who wish to apply for these scholarships. At that time, we conduct internal testing and interviews for students applying for Grades 10 or 11, for admission in August of the coming academic year.
The requirements for application include, but are not limited, to the following:
The candidate must be an Indonesian passport holder.
The candidate must possess a strong command of written and spoken English.
The candidate will be required to undergo a full battery of admissions testing, as well as a series of interviews with the YIS scholarship committee.
The candidate must be applying for entrance to either Grade 10 or 11.
The parents of the applicant must complete a Financial Disclosure form, which indicates a clear financial need for a scholarship.
The candidate may not be a current or former student of YIS.
